A name for a flower?
I'm sure some of my botanically gifted friends will know. So that I might impress Mrs SG V by saying more than "a flower of the red/orange/yellow family" ;)

Its common name is Red Hot Poker and its Latin name is Kniphofia, though I'm not sure exactly which one it is - there are about 70.
It's one of the Asphodelaceae family - if you really want to impress.
